Serge Lutens

Serge Lutens was born in France and worked as a hair stylist, in cosmetics industry, photography, and film. He also worked as a makeup artist for Vogue magazine, and in 1967. was commissioned to produce a line of cosmetics for Dior.

Japanese brand Shiseido enabled Lutens to start his journey in the fragrance world. In 1982. they commissioned the first fragrance from him - Nombre Noir. Then, in 1992. he also created the famous Feminite du Bois.

Lutens started his own now legendary brand in 2000. He creates his perfumes in close collaboration with perfumer Christopher Sheldrake.
