The world of fragrance continues to evolve faster than ever, offering a plethora of olfactory experiences that can captivate our senses. This year has brought forth an exciting array of new releases, reimagined classics, and innovative blends, but to find those, one needs to search through a plethora of fragrances that seem like they have beed done many times before. As our interests and taste in fragrance evolve even some older releases can shine with capturing our attention like never before. In this blog post, we will explore some of our favorite fragrance discoveries and rekindeled loves from the past year, highlighting unique compositions, intriguing notes, and the stories behind them. For us, Tilia was one of the most anticipated releases of 2024. As always, the brands relied on Quentin Bisch to deliver another unusual contemporary fragrance composition. Tilia is the first release with a slightly more feminine tones, yet its abstract features ensure it remains balanced and suitable for anyone. Floral notes of Linden Blossom, Jasmine, and Heliotrope are perfectly blended, offering a nondescript yellow and white floral feel, without being explicit. These notes are deepedend and supported by Ambrofix, Georgywood, Broom, Vetiver, which ofer a clean and crisp finish to the composition.
A fragrance to put a smile on your face as soon as you smell it! A true gem for the summer. Quatro Pizzi is the newest addition to the Xerjoff Casamorati line, created by Sofia Bardelli and launched in 2024. This is a creamy fruity floral that combines Rum and Coriander in the opening with the main notes driving the composition - Tuberose and Coconut. The sweet velvety feel continues until the dry down because of the Tonka Bean and Tobacco Leaf. Exquisite and balanced blend!
Josh Meyer releced a few fragrances in 2024, but the one that stood out to us is The Language of Glaciers. It is crisp and refreshing, but at the same time relaxing. It perfectly mimics the feeling of being in the mountains during a chilly spring morning. You can smell the fresh air, filds of herbs and flowers, but you are also holding a cup of freshly brewd herbal tea with a hint of sweetness in it. This feeling is conjured by the combination of floral notes of Lilac and Blue Bugle, with Pine and Juniper. Cashmere Woods ground the composition giving it a sweet woody dry down.
Bravi was released in 2023, but it has captured our hearts in 2024. It's composed by Bruno Jovanovic, and it is truly a very unique fragrance! It is a Honey and Tuberose fragrance with a sweet citrusy opening Bbitter Oragnce, Begramot, and Ginger). But the note that makes this fragrance truly magical is the Milky Walnut note which is noticeable from the start. It gives a special nutty twist to the whole composition and blends perfectly with Vanilla and Tobacco in the base.
We saved the best for last! Sogni was also released in 2023. by the one and only Giuseppe Imprezzabile (also known as Meo Fusciuni). This fragrance instantly takes the stress away, taking us to a calm happy place. Fragrance was inspired by the perfumer's trip to Japan and combines very prominent (but not overpowering) Rice note with Pine Needels, Bamboo and Peoni. In it's essence, this is a woody fragrance which has Cedar, Sandalwood, Guaiac Wood, Oak and Vetiver. Still, it is light and green as well, as it also has the note of Green Tea. All of this is balanced by sweetness of Amber and Tobacco notes in the base.
